An Anisotropic Phong Light Reflection Model
نویسندگان
چکیده
We present a new BRDF model that attempts to combine the advantages of the various empirical models currently in use. In particular, it has intuitive parameters, is anisotropic, energy-conserving, reciprocal, has an appropriate nonLambertian diffuse term, and is easy to use in a Monte Carlo framework.

Bounding the Albedo of the Ward Reflectance Model
is bounded by 1. Over the last five decades numerous BRDF models were introduced. Beckmann [BS63] and Torrance and Sparrow [TS67] presented physically based microfacet BRDF models that use the Gaussian distribution to define the microfacets’ surface normals. The model by Torrance and Sparrow was used in computer graphics by Cook and Torrance [CT81] and later improved by He et al. [HTSG91]. Howe...

Due to Increasing demands of cartoon style In many areas of computer graphic aspects, this paper presents a simple stylized shading technique to enhance the cartoonlsh appearance In two aspects. First, a new toon-illumlnation model Is developed to emphasize the boundaries between diffuse reflection part and specular reflection part in the phong illumination model. The new discrete shading will ...
متن کاملArea Light Sources for Real-Time Graphics
In an effort to extend the sorts of lighting models used in real-time computer graphics, this paper presents several area light source models, including Lambertian and Phong illumination from constant and cosine-falloff hemispherical light sources, constant subhemispherical light sources, and constant polygonal light sources. The subhemispherical lighting model can also be used to represent ill...
متن کاملSeparating Reflection Functions for Linear Radiosity
Classic radiosity assumes diffuse reflectors in order to consider only pair-wise exchanges of light between elements. It has been previously shown that one can use the same system of equations with separable bi-directional reflection distribution functions (BRDFs), that is BRDFs that can be put in the form of a product of two functions, one of the incident direction and one of the reflected dir...
